筆譯技巧：正說反譯
英語(yǔ)里的“含蓄否定詞”一般譯為漢語(yǔ)的否定詞：
名詞
absence（不在，毫無(wú)）
neglect（不留心，沒人管）
avoidance（不采?。?br />
defiance（無(wú)視）
exclusion（排除）
freedom（通常和from連用，表”不…；無(wú)…的”）
lack（無(wú)，缺乏）
refusal（不愿,不允許）
如：
Absence of competition makes for sloth.
沒有競(jìng)爭(zhēng)會(huì)導(dǎo)致懶惰。（absence此處反譯為”沒有，毫無(wú)”）
She acted in defiance of my orders.
她無(wú)視我的命令行動(dòng)了。
筆譯技巧：
動(dòng)詞
fail to do（未做到）
miss（未打中，未見到，未達(dá)到；不懂，不理解，不明白；趕不上，抓不?。?br />
forbid（不準(zhǔn)）
ignore（不理會(huì)，不考慮）
hate（不想，不愿意）
上述詞可以正著譯，也可以反著譯使句子更加通暢。
如:
Many of Britain's beaches fail to meet minimum standards of cleanliness.
英國(guó)許多海灘連最起碼的衛(wèi)生標(biāo)準(zhǔn)都達(dá)不到。
She narrowly missed hitting him.
她差一點(diǎn)沒打著他。
The hotel is the only white building on the road─ you can't miss it.

筆譯技巧：形容詞
deaf （不聽，置之不理）
blind（看不到，不注意）
absent（不在，不到）
poor（不好的，不幸的）
last（最不…的）
He would be the last person who would do such a thing.

All the time I was blind to your suffering.
一直以來(lái)，我都沒有意識(shí)到你遭受的痛苦。
筆譯技巧：反說正譯
即英語(yǔ)中的否定詞（一般為派生詞）譯為漢語(yǔ)的肯定。這種”形否意肯”的表達(dá)我們?cè)谏弦黄擦信e過，現(xiàn)在補(bǔ)充一些單個(gè)的詞。
名詞
Dishonesty is ultimately self-defeating.
弄虛作假最終會(huì)自食其果。（dishonesty譯為”欺詐，弄虛作假”）
He may be able to nullify that disadvantage by offering a wider variety of produce.
他也許能通過供應(yīng)更為多樣化的農(nóng)產(chǎn)品來(lái)抵消那一劣勢(shì)。（disadvantage譯為”劣勢(shì)，缺陷”）

動(dòng)詞
It took internal whistle-blowing and investigative journalism to uncover the rot.
內(nèi)部檢舉和調(diào)查性報(bào)道揭露了這一腐敗事實(shí)。
形容詞
The structure has an indefinite life.
這是一座永久性的建筑物。（“無(wú)限的”→”永久的”）
It was an acutely uncomfortable journey back to London.
那是一次極其痛苦的返回倫敦的旅行。（“不舒服”→”痛苦的”）
There was something about this which struck Carrie as slightly inconsiderate.
